It is the Mission of Burnt Mountain Center to advocate and provide services and support to individuals with disabilities and their families that enhance their quality of life and to help them discover and move toward their own desirable personal futures while providing needed help in ways that protect and promote valued experiences for them now.
Message from the Director
For over thirty-five years, the Burnt Mountain Center has been assisting people to reach their highest individual goals. We are committed to providing the highest quality services. The Center’s vocational services are geared toward enhancing the lives of those we serve by assisting them in successful job retention. “Whatever it takes to get the job done, “is a philosophy not only held by our staff, but also by the participants we serve. The Center’s proven track record of successfully service participants in the center and the work community, has earned the respect of those who have come to trust us.
Burnt Mountain Center participants who are eligible for Developmental Disability (DD) Services may be served New Options Waiver (NOW) and Comprehensive Supports Waiver (COMP).
For those who are being served through any of Burnt Mountain Center’s programs, the staff and I promise to assist you in reaching your goals by providing you with the highest quality of services. Together, we can work to see that your career aspirations really so come true!
You may be eligible for Public Assistance such as food stamps, medical coverage, heat assistance or other benefits. You are urged to contact your county department of Family and Children Services for more information and/or referral to the appropriate agency.
Not all consumers are eligible for all services. All staff
meet at least minimum service delivery qualifications.
